I grew up in a city and I have always lived in a city; I’m an urban guy and always will be. Cities factor into my photography mostly because that’s where I tend to spend my time. When I’m not at home, I’m travelling to another city for work or vacation. It’s not that I don’t like the outdoors or open spaces very much – I do – but it’s not where I spend most of my time.

 

However, I do make an effort to get out of the city and see more of nature. It’s a big world out there, and I’ve been fortunate to see a glimpse of it, from the vistas of the Swiss Alps to the rolling hills of Appalachia, from the coral blue waters of Hawai‘i to the farmlands of Ohio.

 

I know it’s impossible to see it all, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop trying.
